Meet Our Team
Dr David
Lead Vet
  • M.V.B (Hons)

Dr David moved to Australia in 2016, from his country hometown in Ireland. He has spent his time working with a range of species including dogs, cats, birds, exotics and our beautiful Australian wildlife in both Small Animal Practice and Emergency and Critical Care Centres! He is known for his gentle nature, affiliation with animals and his fantastic Irish humour. Dr David has been an amazing asset to our team, since joining the clinic as our Lead Veterinarian at the beginning of 2021. He holds a keen interest in all areas of Veterinary Medicine, but particularly surgical cases, complex medical cases and ultrasonography.

Outside of work, David loves to enjoy the Australian outdoors with his partner Brooke and their incredibly handsome Wolfhound X, Brian. He is an avid surfer and also enjoys camping and exploring. Dr Dave is usually out in the waves at sunrise, before swapping the surfboard for his scrubs and stethoscope!

Dr Richelle
Vet
  • BVSc (Hons)

Dr Richelle joined our Vet team in the beginning of 2020 and brings with her an immense amount of warmth and care! Richelle has a particularly special interest in reproduction, ultrasonography, dentistry, pups & kittens (how could she not?!) and client education.

Dr Richelle moved to the Sunshine Coast with husband Lachlan (also a fellow Vet!) in 2013, after locuming around the UK for 2 years and working in Brisbane and Gympie in the early days of her career. Working part-time with us here in clinic, Richelle spends her spare time chasing her two kids around at the park, going to Moffat Beach and drinking lots of coffee! Dr Richelle has a small menagerie of pets at home that were all strays and rescues through work – Euka a 12yo Staffy, Pip a 10yo Toy Pomeranian (and the boss!) and Edna an 8yo Bull Arab (Congenitally deaf, Cerebellar Hypoplasia -- affectionately known as "steady Eddie" due to her intention tremors).

Dr Andrew
Vet Surgeon
  • BVSc (Honours)

Andrew graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1987. He has worked in a number of small animal clinics in Melbourne, the United Kingdom and here in the Sunshine Coast which he has called home for the past 10 years. He enjoys the outdoor lifestyle here and especially his favourite escape and past time, offshore fishing.

Andrew is the resident Surgeon at our Practice with significant expertise and interest in orthopaedics.

Dr Chloe
Vet
  • B.V.Sc (Hons)

Dr Chloe joined our team at the beginning of 2021 as a new-graduate Vet, after working incredibly hard through University and excelling in her studies and practical work. It was always her childhood dream to become a Veterinarian, as she absolutely loves animals and has always deeply resonated towards helping them. Dr Chloe has been exploring and thriving in all fields of the Veterinary industry thus far, and currently holds a particularly keen interest for emergency medicine.

After living in Gatton for 5 years while at University, Dr Chloe is making the most of her sea change to the Sunshine Coast! After a hard day's work, Chloe enjoys going to the beach, reading, and testing her physical limits with some bouldering. At home, she has Kibbles the cat, Rosie the Labradoodle, and some fish. We adore having Dr Chloe in our team and we look forward to seeing her flourish throughout her Veterinary career!

Brooke
Practice Manager and Vet Nurse
  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing

Brooke has been a well-known face in our clinic for many years now, after joining our team in 2009. Her career has progressed over the years to Head Veterinary Nurse and as of 2018, our beloved Practice Manager. Our clinic has always been much loved and treasured by Brooke and she even attended the clinic when she was just a very young girl with her family pets! Brooke has been very passionate in advancing her skills and knowledge as a Veterinary Nurse. After spending a 3 year stint working between Buderim and our local Emergency Centre, Brooke has settled into her Practice Management role but ensures she still gets plenty of Nursing time too!

Geriatric and special needs pets have always been Brooke's ultimate soft spot. She has opened her heart and home to many rescue dogs, cats and guinea pigs and ensured that they lived out the last of their days feeling nothing but love, joy and safety. Her pets have always been what keeps her heart warm and makes her world go round, so Brooke loves nothing more than to be part of helping an ill or injured patient recover and go back home to their family.

In her spare time, Brooke loves to be out in nature enjoying time with her partner David (also a fellow Vet!), living a healthy lifestyle and balancing it all out with some yoga.

Brian
Vet Assistant

Brian is arguably one of our most loved staff members! He joined our team alongside his owners Nurse Brooke and Dr David, and has won the hearts of all staff and many of our clients. Brian has helped us to save many dogs in his time with us, as he is our resident blood donor! Brian is the epitome of a ‘good boy’ and is rewarded for his stellar Veterinary efforts each day with many pats, treats and his all-time favourite, cuddles!

In his spare time away from his full-time work, Brian loves to run and to laze out on the beach. He enjoys snoozing, eating, a bit of yoga (mostly downward dog) and lots of cuddles

Jess
Vet Nurse
  • Certificate III in Veterinary Nursing

Jess was born and raised on a farm on King Island, Tasmania. She grew up surrounded by all kinds of animals, big and small! In 2019, Jess made the big move to the Sunshine Coast and ventured into our clinic to apply for a trainee Vet Nursing position. We knew right away that Jess was meant to join our team! With her calm and caring demeanour and her intuition for Vet Nursing, Jess has progressed very far in her skills and knowledge as a trainee Vet Nurse and we cannot wait to see her graduate.

Jess is the proud mumma of her big goofy chocolate Lab named Moose! She is always particularly excited to see fellow Lab’s coming into the clinic!! In her spare time, Jess enjoys going to markets on the weekends, nature hikes and adventuring the beautiful Sunshine Coast.

Hayley
Vet Nurse
  • Certificate III in Veterinary Nursing

Hayley joined our team as a young school student volunteer in 2019, where she dedicated her afternoons to helping our Nurses with animal assistant tasks and absorbing as much information from our team as possible. She knew that she wanted to become a Veterinary Nurse, from the tender age of 3 years old, as she has always held a passion for working with animals! Hayley blew us away with her commitment, dedication and natural affiliation for the team and was quickly offered a full-time traineeship, to be mentored by our Practice Manager Brooke. She has since progressed to attaining her Certificate III in Veterinary Nursing and is well on her way to studying and completing her Certificate IV. We are so proud of how much Hayley has learned and how much of an amazing asset she is to our team!

In her spare time, Hayley loves to travel, go dirt-bike riding with friends and has just started up horse riding! She has a Boxer named Bronxy and a Miniature Foxie named Pepper. Hayley has a huge soft spot for Boxers!
